Why do you think bullying is increasingly a problem in today's schools?

Today, school bullying has become one of the most serious social phenomena which we need to resolve as soon as possible.

This is the concern not only for our generation but also for that of the future. I am seriously concerned about this issue because children are our future and if we don’t prevent the deaths from the bullying, we will lose our future asset.

First, labor shortage. According to the demographic statistics, one in four in 2025 would be over 65 years old. Even now, we suffer from demographic imbalance. Absolute denominator of entire population is becoming small. Among this environment, loosing work force due to mental illness makes the matter worse.

Second, a few successors for technology and craftsmanship would be serious crisis in our society. Besides, it’s difficult for young generation to succeed so-called high technology. Apparently, we end up loosing one personnel to succeed our accumulated knowledge and experience. Nowadays, high technology such as mobile phone with multiple functions is so complicated. Younger engineers need time to master the distinguished knowledge and enhance it. I’m worry about whether we have time to succeed.

In conclusion, we will lose national strength in international market if we don’t take measures on this problem. Bullying existed when I was a kid. But today’s trend goes too far beyond decency. We should stop our asset being degraded or oppressed.

What kind of person bullies?

Cyber Bullying, namely speaking ill of others on the Net is also a growing concern. This problem can also be resolved by the ultimate method--not having PC, though now let's take a look around this issue.

One 13 years old girl in America committed suicide after she had been harrassed by somebody on the Net, having been said this world would be a better place without her. It seems this harassement contimued at least for 6 months. The actual writer turned out to be one of her friend's mother. Shocked by this incidence, the community is considering legislation of law about cyber bullying. People are more likely to engage in criminal behavior online than they are in the physical world. This is one of the distinctive feature of the Net. So in a sence the Internet is more dangerous than actual world.

The problem of bullying has been around since very old time.
Bullies are generally students who do not do well in class. So is this just merely a matter of jealousy toward the smarter who are going to get better social success and higher income? If so, why do I who utterly lack of athletic abilities never throw a stone or dirty words at top athletes, who are earning extremely high salary? It's totally NOT I am not jealous of them. I am really jealous of their earning, success, fame, social status, popularity, athletic ability, muscle power, stamina, dexterity, toughness both in mental and physical, having great guts and so on. But some other people really DO try to harm the rich, I know. Why do I not bully the superior people when some others do? Why is there such difference? If some others do bully the smart, the rich, the popular, the successful, let's assume that why don't I bully them? In this case what comes up to my mind is that: "But why do I have to bully them? I reallllly envy them, but I don't harm them. Why? Probably it's because I do not like to harm people. In this case, if a person who is under inferior status has personality loving to harm others, do they harm the superior? Indeed, they really DO. Those are the people who bully you in class, company, and comuity.
But why do I not like harming poeple? Why don't I try this? In this case, if I harm others, I feel sorry for them for their pain and damage. Is this feeling a certain form of love? Probably yes. So are the bully people who never care about others' feeling, pain and damage? Yes, exactly. They totally lack those humanity. And brain nerve and intelligence and humanity are all interconnected each other.
So, in short, when you see somebody who would belong to the following list, you should be very cautious.
A person who seems to lack:
intelligence, which may lead to totally unreasonable unfair conflict.
human emotion, which allows him/her to commit wrongdoings without limit.
In my opinion, human emotion, especially that person's sensitivity is crucial key to tell if that person is a person who is going to harm you under certain circumstances. If that person has enough sensitivity, when that person is about to commit a wrong doing, he/she must feel pain or sense of guilty on HIS/HER self, which is so uncomfortable, therfore that person cannot do it. But if that person totally lack of sensitivity, he/she never feels anything therefore can commit any horrible conduct without any hesitation, and this person never reviews nor reflects his/her act. So, when you see a person who has dull sensitivity, be alert.
